Roadside Rescue

Heard a great story today. Thought you might be interested, too. Purification has been a terrific essential oil blend for my family. This summer we’ve kept a spray bottle handy that’s a mixture of 20 drops Young Living Purification Blend to 4 ounces purified water. It’s useful in many ways. In fact, I was making it so often, I switched to a large garden spray bottle.

• We’ve used it as a stain remover. (It’s worked to get red lipstick out of a white blouse.)
• We’ve also used it frequently as an insect repellant. My morning walk takes me through an area full of horse flies. If I spray my Purification mixture all over myself before I leave… shoo flies, don’t bother me at all.
• It’s great to spray around the outdoor deck table just before dinner to keep the bugs away.
• It’s even a pleasant air freshener after cooking fish or other unpleasant odors.

Today a friend told me she and her husband were traveling for the family vacation when they were suddenly stopped by a flat tire on their camper. They were stranded on the highway in the heat changing a tire on their camper – no fun! My friend’s husband struggled to remove the tire. He was down to 3 lug nuts that just would not budge. They looked in the camper for WD-40 and found none. They sprayed the lug nuts with cooking spray and they would not budge. Finally, Connie asked her husband to try a squirt of the Purification spray she keeps on hand for the same reasons I do. He rolled his eyes – “shyeah, right.” He squirted the Purification spray twice on each lug nut. Without waiting at all he tried again and to his shock all three nuts came right off! I think he’s a believer now

According to the Young Living website, Purification® can be used directly on the skin to cleanse and soothe insect bites, cuts, and scrapes. When diffused, it helps to purify and cleanse the air from environmental impurities including cigarette smoke and other disagreeable odors. It contains: Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus), lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus), rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), Melaleuca (Melaleuca alternifolia) lavandin (Lavandula x hybrida), and myrtle (Myrtus communis).
